Backyard Bliss

Backyard weddings, receptions, rehearsals dinners, or engagement parties are not only an economical choice of venue but they also add a personal touch that popular wedding venues cannot offer. Whether it is your backyard or the lawn of a family member or friend you are sure not to disappoint with such a venue. This type of venue can also be dressed up or dress down for the occasion, from a black tie affair to an afternoon shower there are so many options with hosting your event at home. My personal favorite for a backyard wedding is a DIY theme. Mason jar centerpieces will be easy on a wallet and add to the personal feel of the event. Trending right now in the wedding world, mason jars can be versatile in and of themselves barring flowers, candles, and much more and also dressing them up with ribbon, twine, or some sort of paint job. Stringing lights from tree to tree is an inexpensive decorative option and will set the mood for an evening reception. Do not shy away from more unconventional items as decorations either, such as knick-knacks from home, old books, birdcages, or anything else that could strike up a conversation from the bride or groom's past. Celebrating a couple will never go out of style and will make your guests feel more included.
